[Saba Sports News] The 2024 F1 US Grand Prix will kick off this weekend. Before the race, tire supplier Pirelli has designed a trophy named “Heroo” for the F1 US event. According to reports, Heroo was created in collaboration with Italian artist and designer Matteo Macchiavelli and Pirelli Motorsport. This trophy is an interpretation of the connection between racing cars and their tires; it is also a piece of art that links beauty and elegance with the excitement, speed, and quality of Formula 1 materials. The trophy takes the form of a human silhouette, suggesting a driver raising their arms in celebration of victory. It is reported that the helmets of the winning driver and team representatives at the US Grand Prix will be painted gold and sprinkled with gold dust; silver and titanium will be the colors and finishes for the second and third place drivers, respectively. Designer Matteo Macchiavelli revealed that the Heroo trophy will not be a one-time appearance at the Austin podium, as limited editions will be produced for art toy collectors and fans. Some fans have expressed that seeing the golden helmet immediately brings Lewis Hamilton’s face to mind. Since childhood, Hamilton has used a yellow helmet as his theme color, not only as a tribute to his idol Ayrton Senna but also to make it easier for his father, who stands by the track, to spot him.
