[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, some Bayern Munich fans clashed with police ahead of the match against Borussia Dortmund. Reports stated that the clashes broke out at around 5 p.m. local time. Police used batons and pepper spray against some fans.As a result, 500 fans decided to stay in the stadium concourse to watch the match and suspended their support activities. The Dortmund Police said that a group of 29 Bayern Munich fans had earlier tried to force their way into the away section using fake or unauthorized tickets. Notably, Jamal Musiala asked Bayern fans during the match why they were not actively supporting the team as usual. It is understood that the reason was a serious clash between Bayern Munich’s hardcore fan group and the police before the match. Many fans even left the stadium before kick-off.
The editor believes that fans are the foundation of football, but out-of-control fans are also a nightmare for the sport. The tension on the pitch and the surging adrenaline in the stands are all part of European football. Clubs must both serve their fans well and keep them under control.
