Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2-0 that night to claim its 29th La Liga title in club history. Catalan police launched a special operation involving both uniformed administrative officers and plainclothes officers to prevent and investigate illegal ticket scalping around the stadium. A total of 45 individuals linked to ticket scalping activities were identified, and 4 administrative fines were issued. In addition, during pre-match security operations, police handed out another 7 administrative fines for offences including drug possession and carrying prohibited weapons. Another 4 fines were issued for displaying banned symbols, carrying pyrotechnics and using counterfeit tickets. Meanwhile, Barcelona stadium authorities ejected 25 spectators from the ground for violating stadium regulations.
