[Saba Sports News] British media reports indicate that to mitigate the
risk of home theft and enhance personal security, Premier League star players
are implementing various measures to safeguard themselves. Organized crime
groups have been targeting high-net-worth individuals, including Premier League
players, with a focus on stealing valuable items such as luxury watches and
jewelry. As a response, some Premier League players have invested significant
sums, amounting to hundreds of thousands of pounds, to install safe houses.
These safe houses are equipped with steel boxes and feature emergency alarm
systems that remain functional even if external wires are tampered with or
severed. Substantial amounts have also been spent on guard dogs, and players
have been advised to have jewelers visit them personally rather than visiting
jewelry stores themselves, as gangs have been known to station observers near
luxury stores. Additionally, certain Premier League players have gone to the
extent of hiring former members of the British Special Air Service to provide
them with protection.
