[Saba Sports News] Shortly before the La Liga match
between Sevilla and Las Palmas, Sevilla announced their starting line-up.
Spanish star Sergio Ramos, who re-joined his hometown team this summer, was
included in the starting XI. This marked his return to represent his home team
after a span of 18 years. Ramos began his professional career at Sevilla,
playing 39 league matches for the club before moving to Real Madrid in La Liga.
It is noteworthy that this achievement allowed Ramos to break the record for the
longest interval between appearances for the same team in La Liga history. The
previous record was held by Pepe Reina, who made a comeback after 17 years and
216 days of playing for Villarreal.
