[Saba Sports News] In a previous Europa League match, Manchester United defeated Bodo/Glimt 3-2 at home. Notably, Marcus Rashford came on as a substitute in the second half of this match. Before entering the field, Rashford took off his gloves at the sidelines, and Manchester United staff came over to receive them. However, Rashford did not hand the gloves directly to the staff but threw them on the ground for the staff to pick up. This action by Rashford drew criticism from some fans. Some commented, “This jerk couldn’t just hand them to him.” Others called him, “A rude and arrogant jerk!” However, some fans believed that this was nitpicking Rashford too much. Despite the controversy, Rashford has had a good start under the new head coach Ruben Amorim. In a Premier League match against Ipswich, he scored the opening goal in just two minutes. However, his performance was not outstanding for the rest of the match. Over the past two seasons, Rashford scored 30 goals in the 2022/23 season, but that number dropped to 8 in the following season. So far in the 2024/25 season, he has contributed only 4 goals.
