[Saba Sports News] A video of Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard arriving at Team USA Basketball’s training venue has caused a stir among fans.
Team USA Basketball is practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada, ahead of the Paris Olympics.
In the clip, Leonard is seen walking across a hotel hallway with his suitcase. Some fans speculated the suitcase might be more than just for clothes, noting Leonard’s gingerly walk and the possibility of him using the suitcase as a crutch. Additionally, Leonard appeared to be wearing a protective sleeve over his right leg. Team USA reportedly has a potential replacement in mind if Leonard cannot join the team in Paris.
Leonard had played in just two of his team’s six playoff games in April due to lingering right knee pain. Despite this, Leonard had one of his healthiest seasons in 2023-24, missing only 14 regular-season games, his fewest since 2016-17.
