[Saba Sports News] Reading, currently
competing in the English League One, are in a precarious situation as they face
a possible transfer ban and points deduction due to their inability to meet
payment deadlines with the British tax office. According to the Daily
Telegraph, if Reading fail to pay their players and staff by this Friday, they
will face further points deduction. Just two weeks ago, the club had already
been deducted three league points because the club’s owner, Dai Yongge, failed
to deposit 125% of the monthly player salaries into a designated account within
the stipulated time. The current situation suggests that Owner Dai has no
intention of continuing to invest in Reading Club and may even consider selling
the team at a reduced price. It has been reported that at least three potential
buyers have expressed interest in acquiring Reading Football Club.
