[Saba Sports News] Recently, former Red Bull senior advisor Helmut Marco stated that the Red Bull team will announce its main roster for the next season before Christmas. Apart from Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez is likely to be replaced, as his prospects of staying with the team are currently bleak. Despite signing a contract with Red Bull that extends until 2026, the team has lost patience with Perez. In the 2024 season, Perez’s performance was significantly behind his teammate Verstappen, placing 8th in the drivers’ championship with a 285-point gap behind Verstappen. This resulted in Red Bull finishing third in the constructors’ championship, which does not align with the team’s usual championship goals. The team is considering promoting either Liam Lawson or Yuki Tsunoda, who are currently racing for AlphaTauri. The editor believes that this change could have a significant impact on Red Bull’s future strategy and competitiveness. With the addition of a new driver and adjustments to the team lineup, F1 competition might become even more intense.
