Sports News] In the Coppa Italia, Roma suffered a 0-1 defeat to Lazio, their
city rivals, resulting in their elimination from the competition. This loss led
to some Roma fans expressing their discontent by displaying banners outside the
Roma training ground in Trigoria. The banners criticized the team and called
for changes to be made by manager José Mourinho and the players. The message on
one of the banners read, “It is better to die with dignity than to live in
humiliation. You are not worthy of this jersey, dirty mercenaries.”
Currently, Roma sits in the 8th position in the league standings, and if they
lose to AC Milan over the weekend, their position may further decline. The
defeat in the Rome derby and the team’s performance has reportedly left the
Friedkin family, the owners of Roma, dissatisfied. Mourinho’s position as the
coach is being evaluated, and if Roma perform poorly at San Siro, he may face
the risk of being sacked, which seemed improbable just a few months ago.
