[Saba Sports News] One of Russell Westbrook’s latest fashion creations hit the spotlight at the WNBA Draft.
Kentucky guard Georgia Amoore revealed Monday that her draft night outfit was designed by Westbrook himself. Speaking on the red carpet, Amoore shared that her black leather blazer and skirt were crafted in collaboration with Westbrook and his fashion brand, Honor the Gift.
“Russell Westbrook actually designed it. I told him what I wanted and he ran with the fabric,” Amoore said.
In a *Vogue* feature on the partnership, Westbrook expressed his excitement about bridging the gap between men’s and women’s sports through fashion. He took the lead on the design and had been working on the look for several months.
A longtime fashion trailblazer, Westbrook launched his clothing line in 2017. While his style has occasionally divided opinions, this sleek, understated design was a hit with Amoore.
Amoore, who averaged 19.6 points and 6.9 assists per game for Kentucky last season, is projected to be a first-round pick in Monday’s WNBA Draft.
