[Saba Sports News] During a celebrity poker event on Saturday, Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler appeared unamused by Ryan Garcia’s company at the “Legends Of The Felt” tournament in Los Angeles.
Garcia was noticeably loud and lively, indulging in drinks, eating pasta, showing off, and generally causing a scene throughout the game. At a table that also included Brazilian soccer icon Neymar, streamer Ninja, and poker pro Dan Bilzerian, Butler seemed to ignore Garcia’s antics. Garcia attempted to strike up a conversation with Butler, mentioning his admiration for Butler’s time with the Chicago Bulls and awkwardly inquiring about Butler’s current team.
“Who do you play for now?” asked Garcia.
“Miami,” responded Butler, to which Garcia apologized for not remembering and mentioned last year’s NBA Finals.
Garcia’s boisterous behavior might have been a tactical move to unsettle his opponents, but it didn’t seem to affect Butler, who walked away with $123,000 in winnings, the second-highest amount after Neymar’s $306,000. Despite recent trade rumors, the 34-year-old Butler still managed to enjoy the event.
