[Saba Sports News] During their vacation in Kashmir, the renowned Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, along with his wife Anjali and daughter Sara, made a notable visit to a bat manufacturing unit in Pulwama. Their journey in Kashmir included a special stop at the MJ Sports factory in the Chersoo area of Awantipora, Pulwama district. Sachin Tendulkar’s arrival at the factory over the weekend brought excitement to the local community, eager to see the cricket icon.
Taking a break from his vacation, Tendulkar explored the craftsmanship of cricket bats at the factory. Engaging with the workers and artisans, he learned about the making of cricket gear.
The visit was characterized by friendly interactions, with Tendulkar even sharing a cup of tea with the factory owner’s family, highlighting the warmth and friendly nature of the visit.
The factory owner, Mohammad Shaheen Parray, shared the surprise and delight of seeing Tendulkar and his family at their doorstep. Tendulkar appreciated the quality of the bats, comparing them to those made from English willow, and discussed the importance of supporting local bat production.
“We were busy making bats when a vehicle stopped at our gate. We were pleasantly surprised to find the Little Master and his family,” Mohammad Shaheen Parray, owner of MJ Sports shared. “He stroked a few bats and was quite pleased with the quality. Tendulkar said he had come to compare the willow bats with those made of English willow. We requested him to lend his voice in support of the local bats.”
During his time at the factory, Tendulkar also imparted wisdom from his extensive cricketing experience, emphasizing the critical role of high-quality cricket equipment.
