Sports News] Italian media reports state that San Siro Stadium will undergo
re-turfing to enhance the field conditions. AC Milan and Inter will jointly
cover the cost of 500,000 euros. San Siro Stadium serves as the home ground for
both teams. The frequent matches have taken a toll on the turf’s quality.
Following AC Milan’s recent home game against Roma, the re-turfing work
commenced. Over the past decade, San Siro Stadium has had a combination of
natural grass and artificial turf, with artificial grass accounting for
approximately 15%. The re-turfing process is expected to cost 500,000 euros,
which will be divided between AC Milan and Inter. As Inter headed to Saudi
Arabia for the Italian Super Cup, their Serie A home match against Atalanta,
originally scheduled for this weekend, will be postponed until the end of the
month. This delay allows for a two-week span for San Siro Stadium to lay the
new turf.
