[Saba Sports News] On Tuesday, former F1 driver Logan Sargeant conducted NTT IndyCar testing for the Meyer Shank Racing team at the Thermal Club on the West Coast of the United States, preparing for the IndyCar season opener in March next year. The testing was divided into three sessions, and Sargeant quickly grasped the speed of the IndyCar and adapted to its nuances during his first drive. Among the six cars participating in the test, Sargeant recorded the fastest speed. After completing 80 laps, Sargeant expressed satisfaction with his performance in his first IndyCar test and is confident about participating in IndyCar next year. In an interview, he stated that working with Meyer Shank Racing has been fantastic, as everyone on the team is great to get along with, and the atmosphere is excellent. He hopes to work with them next year. In August of this year, the Williams F1 team officially announced that Sargeant’s seat would be taken over by young driver Franco Colapinto, leaving Sargeant out of the remaining nine races of the 2024 F1 season.
