[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Atletico Madrid has reached an agreement with Saudi Riyadh Air for their stadium to be renamed once again. Previously, Atletico Madrid had two sponsors for naming rights after their new stadium was completed: China’s Wanda (2017-2022) and Cívitas (2022-2024). During this period, the stadium was called “Wanda Metropolitano Stadium” and “Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium,” and now it will be renamed “Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium.” The new name may be used for the first time during Atletico Madrid’s match against Leganés on October 20, 2024. It is reported that Riyadh Air’s naming rights for Atletico Madrid’s stadium are valid until 2033, with total costs between €250 million and €300 million. Additionally, Riyadh Air is currently also Atletico Madrid’s shirt sponsor, with their contract valid until 2027 at an annual sponsorship fee of approximately €40 million. This is undoubtedly great news for Atletico Madrid. What do fans think about this?
