[Saba Sports News] Mick Schumacher, the son of seven-time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher, has not competed in an F1 race since leaving the Haas F1 team in 2022. Recent reports suggest that Mick Schumacher might receive assistance from Flavio Briatore upon his return to F1. Notably, Briatore, an infamous Italian businessman, was initially banned for life following the 2008 “Crash Scandal,” but his appeal led to the overturning of the verdict. Currently, Briatore returns to the racing scene as the new executive advisor for the Alpine F1 Team. With Alpine F1 Team’s disappointing start to the 2024 season, they hope Briatore’s arrival can turn their fortunes around. In 1991, Briatore played a crucial role in signing Michael Schumacher, enabling the racing legend to transition from Jordan Racing to Benetton. Schumacher won his first two world championships with Benetton. Now, three decades later, German outlet Bild reports that Briatore aims to support Mick Schumacher in the upcoming season. Presently, Mick Schumacher represents the Alpine team in the World Endurance Championship.
