[Saba Sports News] During the recent Brazilian Grand Prix, former F1 driver Sebastian Vettel launched the environmental public art project “F1FOREST.” The project focuses on forest conservation, using a combination of artistic interaction and physical promotion to raise public environmental awareness. Before the race, Vettel invited local school students, community center residents, and nursing home elders to draw unique tree designs. All hand-drawn works were then collected and assembled into a “Growing Forest” themed collage displayed in the spectator area of the track, allowing attending fans to see these works directly. This project is not a whim but a continuation of Vettel’s ongoing commitment to environmental causes since his retirement. From cleaning up post-race litter and building bee hotels to participating in races using sustainable fuels under the “Race Without Trace” initiative, and now this hand-painted forest project focusing on Amazon rainforest protection, he has consistently promoted environmental protection through various forms. This breaks the stereotype of racing drivers being “only about competition” and sets an example for the sports world by combining professional prowess with social responsibility.
