[Saba Sports News] Andy Dalton started for the Carolina Panthers in Week 3 and energized the team.
The veteran QB, known as the “Red Rifle,” went 26/37 for 319 yards and 3 touchdowns, leading the Panthers to a 36-22 victory over the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Dalton stepped in for benched 2023 No. 1 pick Bryce Young.
Panthers fans were thrilled with the win, including Charlotte native and Hornets player Seth Curry, who posted on X, “Look at em! Red [rocket],” a playful nod to Dalton’s nickname.
It’s uncertain if the 36-year-old Dalton can replicate this performance, but for now, he has Panthers fans buzzing and earned himself another start.
