Shooting alone at a local gym, Bayless effortlessly sank numerous shots from well beyond the three-point line.
This display comes ahead of a highly anticipated showdown between Bayless and former NFL MVP Cam Newton. Following a heated exchange on their respective podcasts, Bayless challenged Newton to a three-point shooting contest, which Newton accepted.
Bayless confirmed on Wednesday that he’s been preparing for the match and credited his wife Ernestine for filming the video.
Although the footage was edited, Bayless admitted he missed some shots. Nonetheless, it’s an impressive display for someone of his age. Judging by the video, Newton, at 34, may have a real challenge ahead. It’s clear that Bayless has some serious basketball skills, possibly even surpassing those of former ESPN co-host Stephen A. Smith.
