[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Raheem Sterling failed to find a new club before the transfer deadline and will remain at Chelsea, training separately from the first team. The report states that although Fulham and Crystal Palace expressed interest in Sterling during the summer, the player did not receive any formal offers on transfer deadline day, and Chelsea was unable to find a suitable solution. It is understood that a move to the Saudi league or other overseas leagues is unlikely, as Sterling prefers to remain in the UK with his young family. He is expected to wait for new opportunities in the January transfer window. The Saudi transfer window closes on September 10th, while the Turkish and Greek windows close on September 12th. However, European clubs needed to submit their squad lists for European competitions by 11 PM on Tuesday. Unless circumstances change, Sterling is likely to spend the next four months in the stands. The 30-year-old Sterling is one of Chelsea’s highest base-salary earners, with a weekly wage exceeding £300,000. It was widely predicted that after his loan spell at Arsenal, Chelsea would try to sell him again this summer. Sterling is eager to play for the England national team again, having already earned 82 caps.
