[Saba Sports News] The Golden State Warriors face a significant dilemma as the 2023-24 season approaches, and the center of attention is none other than Chris Paul, standing at a towering six feet. In the recent offseason, the Warriors traded away their former sixth man, Jordan Poole, to acquire the 12-time All-Star. Poole had frequently come off the bench for Golden State, often stepping into the starting lineup when injuries occurred.
Chris Paul boasts an impressive record of 1,214 NBA games, each of which he started. Initially, there were reports suggesting Paul would retain his starting role in Steve Kerr’s rotation. However, when asked by The Athletic’s Anthony Slater about CP3’s potential as a starter, Kerr’s response was notably less definitive.
“I haven’t made a final decision on our approach yet. I’m interested in exploring various lineup combinations,” Kerr remarked. “For this to succeed, everyone needs to embrace it, regardless of who starts or not. It only works if the entire team commits to it.”
Kerr emphasized that the team essentially has six players who could be considered starters. With Chris Paul joining the Warriors, they already have a well-established starting unit featuring Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney. Kerr clarified that regardless of who takes the starting positions, all six players will see substantial playing time.
