[Saba Sports News] It appears the Phoenix Suns are committed to keeping at least one member of their Big Three beyond this season.
According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, it is an “absolute certainty” that four-time All-Star Devin Booker will *not* be traded this summer. Booker reportedly envisions spending his entire career in Phoenix, a sentiment shared by Suns owner Mat Ishbia, CEO Josh Bartelstein, and GM James Jones.
The Suns face major decisions this offseason as their expensive roster has failed to deliver. Despite being the NBA’s first-ever $400 million team (including salaries and luxury tax), Phoenix sits outside the play-in picture at 30-36 with just 16 games left.
Booker, who has been with the Suns since 2015, is one of the league’s longest-tenured players with a single franchise—trailing only Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, and Dwight Powell. Despite enduring years of losing early in his career, reports suggest Booker remains loyal to Phoenix and has no plans to leave.
At 28, Booker continues to put up strong numbers, averaging 25.9 points and 6.8 assists per game. He remains under contract with the Suns through 2028, earning approximately $55 million per season.
While Booker’s future in Phoenix is secure, the same cannot be said for his co-stars. The Suns are expected to explore trades for Kevin Durant this offseason, with multiple teams already linked to the veteran forward.
Additionally, Phoenix will likely attempt to move Bradley Beal, though his full no-trade clause could complicate any potential deal.
