[Saba Sports News] This season’s European Super Cup will be held at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udinese. According to media reports, the stadium has installed 2,409 solar panels on its roof, enabling it to generate all of its own energy, thus perfectly combining environmental protection with football. These panels produce over 1,000 megawatt-hours of energy annually, all from renewable sources, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 6,500 tons per year—equivalent to the annual emissions of 1,516 cars or 1,355 households. The solar panels at Bluenergy Stadium were completed in April this year, but due to administrative approval issues, they are not yet connected to the local grid and will not be officially operational until August 25. Any excess energy produced can also be provided to local residents. Notably, Udinese’s jerseys are now fully made from recycled plastic bottles, and for every away jersey sold this season, the club plants three trees.
