[Saba Sports News] The NBA announced earlier this week, the initial fan vote results for the 2024 NBA All-Star game, revealing a significant omission from the Western Conference lineup. LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo led the voting in their respective conferences as expected. Interestingly, Steph Curry, usually dominant in the West’s guard rankings, was notably surpassed.
The most unexpected outcome from the voting was the total exclusion of Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker. Despite being regarded as a top-15 NBA player, Booker received fewer votes than Austin Reaves, who placed tenth. Fans quickly expressed their astonishment at the three-time All-Star’s conspicuous absence.
Although fan voting only affects the starters and Booker is likely to be selected as an All-Star, the lack of fan support was striking. Suns fans may feel compelled to rally more votes for Booker in the upcoming voting rounds to show their support for their star guard.
