[Saba Sports News] Indian cricket star Suryakumar Yadav recently captained India in a T20I series against South Africa, concluding in a 1-1 draw. Fans were concerned when he twisted his ankle during the third T20I in Johannesburg. Despite initially downplaying the injury, scans revealed a Grade-II tear in his ankle. Consequently, Suryakumar will be sidelined for seven weeks.
Currently on vacation with his wife Devisha, he’s shared glimpses of their travels on social media, where he’s seen sporting a pneumatic walker boot in chilly weather.
Before his injury, Suryakumar played a remarkable innings of 100 off 56 balls in the third game, achieving his fourth T20I century and joining Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell in this feat.
Ranked as the number one T20I batter with 887 ratings for over a year, Suryakumar has impressive stats: 2,141 runs in 60 T20Is at an average of 45.55 and a strike rate of 171.55, including four hundreds and 17 fifties. Indian fans eagerly await his return, especially for the T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA.
