Social media is filled with various videos and information that are hard to distinguish as real or fake. According to Spanish media outlet El Desmarque, Real Betis player Pablo Fornals encountered such a situation when two of his teammates pulled a significant prank on him. Aitor Ruibal, in conjunction with Adrián, called Fornals to tell him that he needed to award the La Liga Player of the Month trophy for December to Mbappé because Real Betis would be visiting the Bernabéu Stadium on Sunday, January 4th.
To set the tone, Ruibal directly told his teammate, “Fornals, I’ve encountered something ridiculous. Carvajal called me, saying that since every time you hold a press conference people ask about Mbappé, he hopes you will present the award to Mbappé.” Fornals’ first reaction was brilliant: “Are they kidding me in Madrid? It feels like a serious offense; let Real Madrid deliver it to me themselves.” At this point, both Ruibal and Adrián couldn’t help but laugh and eventually confessed to their prank.”
