[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, John Terry is auctioning a series of memorabilia from his illustrious playing career, including the match jersey he wore in the 2008 UEFA Champions League final against Manchester United. The final, held in Moscow, was one of the toughest moments in Terry’s career, as the loss had a profound impact on him. The Chelsea legend recalled in a podcast that after that defeat, he even had thoughts of ending his life. However, Terry is selling this jersey, described as ‘stained with tears,’ for a charitable purpose. It will be one of the auction items aimed at raising funds for his ‘John Terry Foundation,’ with the proceeds going to support two charitable organizations. The 2008 Champions League final jersey is valued at £3,750. Along with it, several other highly valuable items are up for auction, including the much-publicized ‘full kit’ jersey from the 2012 Champions League final. At that time, Terry was unable to participate in the final held in Munich due to suspension but still donned the full kit to raise the Champions League trophy after the match. This 2012 jersey is valued at £1,875, while a mini replica of the Champions League trophy he held aloft is valued at £3,750.”
