[Saba Sports News] This week, digital currency company Tether officially announced its position as a minority shareholder in Juventus Football Club. According to Italian media reports, Tether has purchased a 5.01% stake in Juventus, along with corresponding voting rights. Under Italian Securities and Exchange Commission regulations, any purchase of more than 5% of a publicly listed company must be disclosed. Therefore, official news from the Italian SEC is expected in the coming days. If confirmed, Tether will become the third-largest shareholder in Juventus. Currently, the largest shareholder is the Exor Group, a commercial and industrial group controlled by the Agnelli family, which owns 65.4% of Juventus. However, due to the differing voting rights associated with various shares, Exor effectively controls 78.9% of Juventus’s voting rights. The second-largest shareholder is the Lindsell Train fund, which holds 8.2%. The remaining shares are held by various financial entities and fans, with significant holdings by Vanguard (1.4%) and BlackRock (0.5%).
