In fifth place are various players from the Chinese badminton team. There’s an established tradition within the team where the usual gift is $50, with everyone contributing their blessings together. In fourth place is the coaching staff of the Chinese badminton team. Due to the coaches’ greater age, experience, and status, their gift amounts are typically higher than those of active players, averaging around $100.
Third place goes to Lin Dan, a badminton legend. However, because he and Huang Yaqiong did not play in the same era, their interactions were limited, leading to a gift amount of about $250 to $300. In second place is Wang Chang, a teammate from the Zhejiang team; he is the only player to publicly reveal his gift amount, which was $400.
First place was taken by Zhang Jun, the head coach of the Chinese badminton team, who offered the most generous red envelope of $500.
