Sports News] In the final round of the Champions League group stage, Barcelona
suffered a 2-3 defeat away to Antwerp. However, despite the loss, Barcelona
managed to secure qualification as the group leaders. According to reports from
Spanish media, the atmosphere in Barcelona’s locker room after the match was as
quiet as a “funeral.” The club emphasized the importance of unity and
urged players not to create any misunderstandings with the outside world.
Barcelona had hoped that the game would serve as an opportunity to regain their
form and secure a winning bonus of €2.8 million. Unfortunately, their plans did
not materialize. In the post-match locker room, manager Xavi did not deliver a
speech to reprimand the players. They were well aware of how easily external
perceptions can be distorted, and they understood the need to avoid
exacerbating any existing anxieties. Consequently, all the players gave
interviews with a unified message. This defeat has further amplified the
existing doubts surrounding Barcelona. While it may be premature to declare the
club in deep crisis, concerns and uncertainties surrounding the team are
growing day by day.
