The 26-year-old athlete displayed remarkable badminton talent back in primary school, specializing in aggressive net rush and offensive attacks. Before turning 18, he claimed his first international title in 2017. At the 2019 U.S. Open, he advanced from qualifying rounds and defeated elite players including Li Shifeng and Lee Dong Keun, sealing his maiden BWF World Tour crown.
Sidelined by injuries and the COVID-19 pandemic, he stayed away from international competitions throughout 2020 and 2021.
