[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, the Premier League BIG6 are dissatisfied with the Premier League. Premier League chairman Richard Masters is reportedly unhappy with FIFA’s expansion of the Club World Cup. Masters has also expressed support for the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) strike against the increasingly intense schedule. However, the wealthy teams in the Premier League still want to participate in the Club World Cup due to the potential for significant income. Chelsea and Manchester City have qualified for the first new Club World Cup next year. Despite Masters’ opposition, a senior figure from one of the Premier League BIG6 stated, “We all want to participate in the Club World Cup, and Masters’ public stance does not represent our position. Only two teams have qualified for next year’s Club World Cup, so it is an exaggeration to say that it will affect the schedule and tire players.” Other European teams participating in the new Club World Cup include Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Benfica, Porto, Atletico Madrid, and Salzburg.
