[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United legend and TNT Sports commentator Paul Scholes signed jerseys for Thessaloniki players after Manchester United’s match against Thessaloniki in the Europa League. In midweek Europa League action, Manchester United defeated Thessaloniki 2-0 at home. After the match, Thessaloniki midfielder Magomed Ozdoev approached the TNT commentary booth at the sidelines, found Manchester United legend Scholes, and asked him to sign his jersey. Scholes readily signed Ozdoev’s jersey, and TNT Sports host jokingly remarked: “You’re quite popular here! A player from Thessaloniki just came over for your autograph!” Scholes modestly replied: “Yes, I’m not sure if he remembers me since I’ve been retired for many years. Yes, he came over to get an autograph for his dad; I fulfilled his request; I think I got his dad’s name right.” Unexpectedly, it turns out that Thessaloniki player’s dad is also a fan.
