[Saba Sports News] UEFA has officially announced that for the 2028 European Championship, each participating team’s fans will receive at least 10,000 tickets for each group stage match, with 40% of the tickets being in the lower price category. This tournament will be jointly hosted by England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. UEFA has confirmed that, unlike next year’s World Cup, this tournament will not use dynamic pricing, and resale will be limited to face value. FIFA faced criticism from fan groups for using dynamic pricing during the World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, which allowed tickets to be resold at several times their original price on official platforms. UEFA stated that the sale of 3 million tickets for this tournament will begin only after the draw for the finals in December 2027 and has promised to provide a “fair, transparent, and fan-first ticketing process.” In a statement, UEFA mentioned that, unlike previous tournaments, ticket sales will start after the draw for the final stage in December 2027 and once the group stage schedule is confirmed, ensuring that fans know which teams’ matches they may be seeing.
