[Saba Sports News] The Minnesota Timberwolves remained a tight-knit group until the end of their playoff run, demonstrated by a decision they made late in the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks.
According to Jon Krawczynski and Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Timberwolves collectively decided that no player would appear on TNT’s “Inside the NBA” postgame show following their Game 4 victory. This move was a protest against Draymond Green’s presence, as the team found his criticisms of Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns to be excessive and personal.
Green, a long-standing critic of Gobert, continued his criticisms during this series. His presence on the TNT desk seemed to irritate the Timberwolves, especially since he appeared to favor the Mavericks.
Green, a longtime contributor to TNT, is expected to transition to media work after his playing career. However, he might need to be more impartial to avoid offending other teams.
