[Saba Sports News] Recently, a champion meet-and-greet event was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Japanese badminton star Aya Ohori, Chinese badminton stars Wang Zhiyi and Feng Yanzhe attended the event and interacted with young players in Hangzhou. The aim is to use the influence of world champions to inspire more young people to take an interest in badminton and promote the sport among a broader population. Through exchanges between Chinese and Japanese stars, the young players can experience a diverse badminton atmosphere and broaden their international perspective. It is reported that Aya Ohori is a top Japanese women’s singles player. She recently bid farewell to her international career at the BWF World Tour Finals held in Hangzhou in December last year. This time, returning to Hangzhou, Ohori partnered with her former rival Wang Zhiyi for a demonstration match. Notably, 25-year-old Wang Zhiyi has now become a key player in China’s women’s singles team, ranking second in the world. She will be a mainstay in the upcoming Badminton World Championships and will compete for the title. During the event, the three badminton stars also shared their experiences on playing and offered opinions and suggestions on the development of young players.
