[Saba Sports News] Travis Head arrived in Hyderabad on March 16 to join Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2024, eager to make an impact with the team. Returning after a six-year break, having previously played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Head is enthusiastic about his comeback and the chance to play before the devoted Orange Army fans. He aims to contribute significantly to the team’s success, echoing his excitement in a statement and looking forward to a fruitful season under Pat Cummins’ leadership.
“Feeling good. Good to be back. Looking forward to a good season. The team looks good. Looking forward to meeting everyone. And hopefully, I can contribute with some runs. Yeah, I’ve heard amazing things about the Orange Army. I’m looking forward to play in front of everyone,” Head said.
Head, who made a memorable century against India in the last year’s ODI World Cup final, hopes to replicate his performance in the upcoming IPL. With aspirations of leading Sunrisers to glory, reminiscent of their 2016 triumph, he is focused on making a substantial contribution to the team’s efforts. Sunrisers are scheduled to start their season against Kolkata Knight Riders at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on March 23.
“I guess win as many games as we possibly can and try and contribute somewhat to that cause. And, yeah, hopefully, we will have a really successful season and a lot of good times and yeah, can’t wait to play in front of the crowd. Hopefully, in the IPL final and hopefully, we will see the sunrise. So, that’d be a nice touch,” he added.
