[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, during Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich’s substitute goalkeeper Sven Ulreich insulted Leverkusen’s director Simon Rolfes. The reports indicate that during the match, Ulreich shouted at Rolfes, “Sit down, Rolfes, you stupid idiot.” In response, Bayern Munich stated that Ulreich’s words were spoken in a moment of impulse and that he knew his wording was inappropriate at the time and has since apologized. On the other hand, regarding Ulreich’s insult, Rolfes said in an interview afterward: “I neither heard it nor noticed it. Everyone is responsible for their own words.” It is reported that the German Football Association (DFB) control committee is currently evaluating the incident involving Ulreich insulting Leverkusen’s director. The DFB is aware of the matter, and the control committee is assessing it; however, it remains unclear whether a formal investigation will be launched as no statement has been released by the association yet.
