[Saba Sports News] Last week during Bayern Munich’s match against Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Sven Ulreich made insulting remarks towards Leverkusen’s sports director Simon Rolfes as the game was nearing its end. In response, the German Football Association decided to suspend Ulreich for one match and impose a fine. The German Football Association stated that after the supervisory committee prosecuted Ulreich for openly violating sports ethics, the sports court ruled through a single-judge procedure that Ulreich would be suspended for one match in the Bundesliga and fined 20,000 euros. During the suspension period, Ulreich is also prohibited from representing Bayern Munich in any other level of league matches. It is reported that Ulreich and Bayern Munich have accepted this ruling; therefore, it takes immediate legal effect. This means Ulreich will not be included in the squad for Bayern Munich’s match against Eintracht Frankfurt this Sunday. However, Bayern Munich director Max Eberl stated in an interview that the punishment from the German Football Association was too harsh on Ulreich.
