[Saba Sports News] In the 13th round of South American World Cup qualifiers, Uruguay lost 1-0 at home to Argentina. Notably, Uruguay’s midfielder Federico Valverde was seen on camera appearing to struggle with muscle discomfort during the match. Valverde has already played 48 matches in all competitions this season, and his attendance rate has been remarkable. After the match, Valverde admitted: “It was a very intense game, with not many attacking opportunities. The opponent scored a great goal, and the game became more open after that. For us, we need to maintain self-criticism and see where we can improve. We didn’t meet our target today.” He also stated that he was in good physical condition and would be ready to face Bolivia based on the coach’s decision. Valverde respects any decision made by the coach and feels great physically. Uruguay will play Bolivia in four days, and Valverde will return to Real Madrid, where he will face Leganes in La Liga at the end of the month. Real Madrid will also have a packed schedule in April with seven matches.
