[Saba Sports News] Recently, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen spent $65 million on a Falcon 8X private jet, which he will use for travel next season. This new aircraft is an upgraded version of the Falcon 900EX and retains the same livery as before. In 2020, Verstappen purchased the Falcon 900EX from British entrepreneur Richard Branson for 12 million euros, using it for the past five years. Data shows that the Falcon 900EX can fly approximately 7,400 kilometers on a single tank of fuel; however, the newly purchased Falcon 8X can travel 11,945 kilometers on a single tank due to its speed of up to 0.90 Mach and a flying altitude of 51,000 feet. This design allows the plane to fly higher, farther, and more fuel-efficiently, with a fuel efficiency that is 15% better than any other long-range aircraft on the market. This means Verstappen can fly directly from Europe to Asia or South America without needing to stop for fuel, which will save a lot of time, especially during F1 race periods.
