[Saba Sports News] Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen recently criticized the FIA’s regulation, raising the age limit for participating in any F1 event to 18 years old. Verstappen expressed dissatisfaction, citing impediments to the influx of talent into F1. The regulation, implemented in 2015 primarily targeting Verstappen, who debuted in F1 at the age of 17, sparked controversy. Despite initial skepticism from the FIA regarding his suitability for the top formula series due to his young age, Verstappen’s exceptional debut performance silenced critics. He joined Toro Rosso in 2015 and clinched victory in his maiden race, becoming the youngest Grand Prix winner. Verstappen’s aggressive driving style earned him the nickname “Crazy Max.”
