[Saba Sports News] As this F1 season nears its end, current Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen shared his expectations for the next season in a media interview, hoping the new season rules are “sufficiently interesting.” Verstappen stated bluntly: “If it’s not fun, then I don’t feel like sticking around. I have many other hobbies, other racing projects, I want to spend more time with my family, and I want to live life at my own pace.” His core demand is to enhance the spectacle of racing, making cars easier to follow and overtake, enriching strategies, and balancing competition, especially holding an expectant yet cautious attitude towards the season’s rule changes. In our opinion, from the perspective of the sport’s development, his views align with the long-term interests of fans and the sport. While new regulations can increase battling opportunities through technical optimizations, designs like active aerodynamics also increase driving burdens and failure risks; although major changes might reshape the competitive landscape, there’s also the possibility that top teams adapt quickly and widen the gap.
