[Saba Sports News] After winning the F1 United States Grand Prix, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen achieved a podium milestone: he tied Sebastian Vettel for the third-most podiums in history (122). After the race, Toto Wolff praised Max Verstappen. The Dutch driver secured consecutive victories in both the Sprint and the Grand Prix at the just-concluded F1 United States GP, significantly closing the gap to the two leading McLaren drivers in the championship standings. The Mercedes Team Principal, in an interview, spoke highly of Verstappen’s excellent form while also emphasizing the significant progress the Red Bull team has made in recent races. Wolff stated: “Max is outstanding, but I don’t see if other drivers could perform like that. They [Red Bull] have just tuned the car to its optimal state, and that car is currently the most competitive. He [Verstappen] can score a lot of points; as a driver, he is nearly perfect.” Since the summer break, the Dutch driver has achieved podiums in 5 consecutive races and currently trails championship leader Oscar Piastri by only 40 points.
