[Saba Sports News] Jos Verstappen, the father of Max Verstappen, recently discussed the possibility of his son being approached by several top teams during a media interview. He stated that the chance of Max switching teams does exist, depending on his performance at Red Bull Racing this season and the car’s performance. If Max feels he cannot continue to win races there, he will consider leaving. The Red Bull team has faced significant personnel changes this season, including shifts in staff and technical challenges. He believes that Red Bull’s performance in the latter half of 2024 may not be satisfactory, as the car has failed to maintain consistent speed. According to external sources, Aston Martin has prepared a substantial contract worth up to $1 billion to negotiate with Verstappen; however, his final decision will depend on his performance and feelings within the team, as well as the negotiation results with the team. Jos Verstappen was also a professional racer, and after retiring from F1, he began planning his son’s F1 driver “development program,” supporting each other in their growth and laying a solid foundation for Max’s racing career.
