[Saba Sports News] In the practice sessions for the 2025 F1 Australian Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing underperformed. In the first practice session, Max Verstappen only ranked fifth; in the second session, his best lap time dropped to seventh, trailing behind AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar. During the practice, Verstappen repeatedly complained about the car’s lack of grip. Although the car was balanced in other aspects, it failed to effectively transfer power to the road. More concerning was the disastrous performance of Red Bull’s rookie driver Liam Lawson, who consistently failed to break into the top ten and lagged behind Verstappen’s mid-range time by 0.6 seconds. This unusual performance has attracted significant media attention, with former F1 driver Karun Chandhok stating that intense discussions will take place within Red Bull to resolve the car’s issues. Chandhok believes Lawson’s start has been extremely difficult, and the entire Red Bull team needs to reassess the car’s setup and performance.
