[Saba Sports News] Recently, Malaysian badminton legend Rashid Sidek expressed strong confidence in Lee Zii Jia, believing that after a two-month break, Lee (the bronze medalist at the Paris Olympics) has adjusted his physical condition to its peak. He is expected to make a powerful push for the championship throne in the upcoming All England Badminton Open. For the world’s No. 7 ranked Lee Zii Jia, this match holds significant meaning as it is his first return to competition since withdrawing from the World Tour Finals in December due to injury. The previous injury affected Lee Zii Jia’s tournament schedule. In the past month, he missed all World Tour events and had not played for 11 weeks before making his comeback at the Orleans Badminton Masters. However, the Orleans Badminton Masters also provided Lee with an excellent opportunity to get back into the rhythm and feel for the game before competing at the All England Open in Birmingham.
