[Saba Sports News] Luka Doncic had a very Luka-esque exchange with a heckler over the weekend.
During Game 4 of the Los Angeles Lakers’ first-round playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center in Minneapolis, the Lakers fell 3-1 in the best-of-seven matchup after a frustrating loss. Adding to the tension, a video went viral Monday showing Doncic firing back at a heckling Timberwolves fan during the game.
In the clip, Doncic was preparing to inbound the ball when a fan shouted, “You’re a grown man. You complain every play.” After the fan repeated the taunt, Doncic turned and responded sharply, saying, “Shut the f–k up, p—y.” (Viewer discretion is advised due to the strong language.)
Doncic and Timberwolves fans have a bit of a history. As a Dallas Maverick last year, Doncic helped eliminate Minnesota in the Western Conference Finals, jawing with the Target Center crowd along the way. In one playoff game, after a Minnesota fan made a disrespectful gesture, Doncic erupted for 20 points in the first quarter. When he returned to Minnesota early this season, he once again trash-talked the crowd after hitting a clutch shot.
Now, the rivalry has reignited — but this time, it’s Minnesota that’s on the verge of knocking Doncic and the Lakers out of the playoffs, needing just one more win to advance.
