[Saba Sports News] Renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli returned to Mumbai on Sunday after a short break abroad for the birth of his second child, Akaay, with his wife Anushka Sharma on February 15.
The 35-year-old had left India just before a Test series against England, missing the initial matches due to paternity leave and later being excluded from the series by the BCCI. Now, his attention turns to the IPL 2024, where he plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Upon his arrival at Mumbai airport, Kohli engaged warmly with the media, responding to a photographer’s greeting with a friendly exchange. He is slated to participate in RCB’s upcoming promotional event and commence his IPL campaign against Chennai Super Kings.
“Kohli Sir, Aap Kaise Ho?” (How are you Kohli sir), Kohli replied with a kind smile, “Badhiya, Aap Theek Ho?” (I’m doing fine, how are you?)
Despite recent scrutiny of his performance, Kohli’s participation signals his continued prominence in the cricketing sphere, amidst speculation about his future in India’s T20 World Cup team.
